Professor Jennifer Williams is Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health at UNE. Jen studied medicine at the University of Queensland and completed specialist training through the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. She is the former Director of Clinical Training for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and continues her clinical work there as a senior staff specialist emergency physician.

In her previous academic role, Jen spearheaded the establishment of the Griffith University Doctor of Medicine program at the Sunshine Coast, the first end-to-end medical program in the region. Jen is an examiner for the Australian Medical Council and does consultancy work in medical education and for the insurance industry. Outside of work, Jen is an occasional triathlete who loves to travel.
