Join the UNE Social Running Group for their weekly running session on Thursdays. UNE staff, students and the wider community are invited to join in to connect with colleagues and friends, and focus on their overall wellbeing

Low Intensity Group Fitness | Armidale

UNE staff and students are invited to step away from your desk, connect with colleagues and friends, and focus on your overall wellbeing with a low intensity, whole body work-break session. Target the common problems associated with sitting at a desk for long periods, and generally build mobility and strength.
Date: Every Tuesday
Time: 12.00 -12.45pm
Location: The Bistro*

What to bring: A water bottle and comfortable clothes. Exercise mats and equipment provided.

*Please note: If an event is taking place in The Bistro, this activation will occur in the Lazenby Annex.

Webinar | Alcohol and other drugs

This session aims to educate individuals on the effects of alcohol and other drugs on a person’s life and work. It allows participants to reflect on their alcohol and other drug use, and will help to identify if it is problematic. This session provides practical strategies to reduce alcohol and drug use and encourages participants to look after their mental health as a way of managing stress.

Webinar | Addiction and Rural, Regional and Remote Mental Health 

Manna senior researcher Dr Julaine Allan, Associate Professor, Rural Health Research (Mental Health and Addictions) will be joined by Raechel Wallace, Aboriginal Program Manager, NADA, and Professor Anthony Shakeshaft from the University of Queensland, in a conversation to discuss the intersection between drugs and alcohol and RRR mental health.
