The New South Wales Police Force has a policy and program area supporting members of sexuality, gender diverse and intersex communities. The ‘GLLO’ program.

GLLOs are specific officers available for concerns, advice, reporting, and any police matter that individuals might feel best handled by them.

Armidale Police have two new Queer Liaison Officers; 

Please do not wait to report a crime – report it immediately to your local police. You can request follow-up support from a GLLO.

Open to all current staff and students, the UNE Ally Network are committed to making UNE a welcome and inclusive environment for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

To join the Ally Network, new members need to send an email to allynetwork@une.edu.au with the following information:

  • Name
  • UNE email address
  • Confirmation whether  you are a staff member, student, alumnus, or affiliate
  • Confirmation of completion of Ally training at UNE or elsewhere

Students participating in the Ally Network may be eligible for points towards the New England Award. The New England Award – University of New England (UNE).
