Deb is committed to fostering an environment where teams thrive, bringing a wealth of experience in the fields of human resources and business administration to UNE Life. 

Since joining UNE Life 15 years ago as a Finance & Administration Officer initially, Deb has embraced a unique HR specialist role that blends both generalist and specialist responsibilities, including remuneration, workforce planning, training and development. She also plays a key role in employee relations, policy development, recruitment, and compliance, ensuring best practices are upheld across the organisation. 

Overseeing 14 industries and 17 key services, she navigates complexity with ease, encouraging growth and innovation while championing employee well-being. With a strong work ethic and an empathetic leadership style, Deb is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace where individuals feel valued and empowered. 

Passionate about UNE Life, she is committed to cultivating a positive workplace culture, supporting professional development, and helping individuals reach their full potential. Her leadership (and the ideas she is hoping to initiate…) will help ensure that UNE Life is not just a great place to work but a community where people can truly excel. 

Outside of work, Deb enjoys spending time with her family (whom she is super proud of), gardening, reading, traveling, socialising with friends, and indulging in the occasional shopping spree!
