The Communications Manager is responsible for leading strategic communications and managing stakeholder relationships across UNE Life’s operations. This role plays a critical interface function between UNE Life and the University of New England, as well as broader community, government, and sector partners.

The Communications Manager develops and delivers clear, cohesive messaging that enhances UNE Life’s profile, supports its strategic priorities, and reinforces the value of its work across the University and regional community. The role will also contribute to key strategic documents and internal initiatives, and may oversee future communications support functions, including grants and policy communications

We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our General Practice team at the UNE Life Healthcare Centre in Armidale.

This role is suited to someone who is confident working in a busy, multidisciplinary setting and who brings a patient-first approach to their work every day. About the role

You’ll work closely with our GPs and admin team to support the delivery of high-quality primary care services. The role is focused on preventative health, chronic disease management, immunisations, wound care, and supporting clinical procedures in a general practice setting.

You’ll need to be comfortable managing your own time, adapting to patient needs on the day, and contributing to the continued improvement of our services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support GP consults and assist with minor procedures
  • Manage recalls and reminders for chronic disease and preventative health
  • Provide immunisations (childhood, travel, flu, COVID)
  • Perform ECGs, spirometry, wound care, and health assessments
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Engage with patients to deliver safe and compassionate care
  • Contribute to the implementation of clinical policies and quality improvement

What we’re looking for (but not limited to):

  •  Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA registration (unrestricted)
  • Strong background in general practice or community health
  • Current CPR certification (ALS preferred but not essential)
  • Proficiency in clinical software (e.g., Best Practice or similar)
  • Confidence in handling immunisations and clinical procedures
  • Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a close-knit team

The Chef, will work alongside the Head Chef and kitchen team to produce outstanding food in a dynamic environment across various outlets and venues. The role requires multi-skills which includes assisting with staff workflow, food preparation, production, and implementation of menus within budget guidelines. The Chef will assist with daily kitchen operations, monitor inventory control including buying and replenishment of stock, product knowledge and service standards.

Group Fitness Instructor | SportUNE

SportUNE provides a comprehensive range of services to the University, students and local community in the areas of an Indoor Recreation Centre, which caters for a wide range of sports and activities; 15 hectares of designated playing fields; an indoor swimming pool and a well-equipped gymnasium, outdoor facilities, an on-site café and sporting events. SportUNE is considered one of the best university sporting precincts in Australia, offering variety, flexibility and a range of new facilities and services.

GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

With a focus on service excellence, the Fitness Instructor assists in the efficient and professional running of SportUNE which contributes to the achievement of UNE Life strategic objectives.

The Fitness Instructor will be required to conduct safe, appropriate and stimulating group fitness classes within format guidelines. The Instructor is relied upon to motivate, educate and enhance each participant’s experience. Through developing a rapport with participants, the Group Fitness Instructor fosters a commitment to their improved health and wellbeing.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through the timely set up, delivery, and pack down of high-quality fitness classes, and facilitate discussion and evaluation opportunities for class participants,
  2. Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to foster a sense of belonging at SportUNE,
  3. Communicate positively and effectively with all SportUNE stakeholders,
  4. Pursue self-development through industry training and development courses, maintain up to date fitness industry knowledge, and maintain required qualifications for the position

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated relevant experience and passion for the fitness industry,
  2. Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients through excellent communication skills, maintaining confidentiality as required,
  3. Effective time management skills – able to work within time constraints and prioritise tasks according to SportUNE needs,
  4. Demonstrated awareness of WHS, Safe work procedures,
  5. Demonstrated awareness and ability to work well within a diverse workforce, either as part of a team, or individually.
