Casual Gardener Wanted

A local Armidale resident is looking for a casual gardener who is self-motivated and has a great eye for detail.

Gardening services will be required in North Armidale once immediately, then 3-4 times per year after that.

Work will include weeding, clipping and other yard work. All necessary tools will be supplied.

Requirements

Physical fitness will be required for these manual tasks

Rate of pay

To be negotiated, depending on experience.

Harvest Workers wanted in Victoria

Skillinvest is a premium employment and training specialist. They have been tasked with putting Victorian farmers in touch with willing harvest and farm workers.

Skillinvest is looking for available and interested individuals to perform harvest/farm work on Victorian farms. The work may take place anytime between October 2019 and early 2020, on individual farms throughout Victoria. This mainly includes hay, canola and wheat, and some livestock. Casual Cleaner Wanted

Purpose of the position

With a focus on service excellence, the Cleaner will contribute to the efficient cleaning operations within UNE Life under the guidance of the Maintenance Officer which contributes to the achievement of UNE Life strategic objectives.

Key accountabilities

  1. Under general supervision, responsible for cleaning UNE Life business units including the Stro, Booloominbah, Café Life, Weston Common Room, Security Offices, The Shop, Belgrave Cinema, TuneFM toilets, Life HQ and various other offices– to the required standards;
  2. Ensure the correct operation/storage/maintenance of any equipment;
  3. Ensure that all chemicals are used and stored as per manufacturer’s instruction;
  4. Carry out ad-hoc caretaker duties if requested by the Maintenance Officer, such as furniture removal, archive removal, etc;
  5. Advise the Maintenance Officer of any needs for cleaning equipment, eg servicing, repairs, etc;
  6. Report any maintenance requirements to the Maintenance Officer;
  7. Assist with event setup if required;
  8. Comply with the requirements of NSW Work Health and Safety (WH&S) legislation and related WH&S responsibilities and procedures developed by UNE Life/ UNE;
  9. All of the above duties/tasks should be completed in a timely manner and all to a high standard.

Special requirements

  1. Willingness to work weekends and nights.
  2. Current driving license and the ability to travel between sites as required.

Group Fitness Instructors | Sport UNE

GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTORS

SportUNE is currently seeking Group Fitness Instructors for several classes a week, including mornings, evening and weekends.

Essential Criteria:

Certificate III in Fitness / Certificate IV in Fitness / Les Mills Accreditation;
Current First Aid Certificate;
Confidence and outgoing personality.
Duties and Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Classes cover a 7 day timetable with a variety of hours between 6am and 7pm;
  • To exceed the expectations of members in our Group Fitness classes;
  • To be available to assist in regular timetable participation in allocated as well as fill in classes; and
  • To be able to instruct safely while providing members with a challenging and fun environment.

SENIOR HAIRSTYLIST

Essential Criteria:

This role requires a skill level which assumes and requires knowledge or training equivalent to:

Completion of a minimum Cert III in Hairdressing level qualification; and

An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

Duties and Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Ensure customer’s needs are identified.
  • Carry out treatments in a relaxed friendly and clean environment.
  • Book customer’s appointments with efficient time allocated for each appointment.
  • Provide consultation and advice to customers if/when required, especially with providing colour services.
  • Provide all hairdressing services and cosmetic services including facial waxing, eyelash and eyebrow tinting.
  • Ensure completion of customer’s record cards for every colour service provided.
  • Operate POS to receive payments from customers and maintain appointments.
  • Maintain a clean working area and sanitise tools after each customer.
  • Promote and demonstrate products for retail.
  • Attempt to resolve complaints/ customer feedback within the Salon with the support of Salon Manager.
  • Undertake general cleaning duties to ensure the Salon is kept to high standards.
  • Ensure relevant infection prevention and control procedures are followed at all times.
  • Operate and manage Sleek Hair Studio in the absence of Salon Manager when required.
  • Ability to remain ‘current’ – willingness to undertake training to further enhance skills.
  • Be aware of the University’s and UNE Life’s policies and procedures relating to equal opportunity, risK management, Workplace Health and Safety, records management and quality assurance as they apply to this position.
