Meg is a Chartered Accountant (CAANZ) and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), with expertise in managing corporate governance, risk and compliance in government, private and not-for-profit environments.
Her successes include establishing new businesses, turning around underperforming entities in challenging markets, leading significant restructures and system/ process modernisations and driving organisational-wide culture improvements.
In addition to her role as a non-executive director of UNE Life, Meg is a non-executive director of Disaster Relief Australia and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee (since 2022), invited to join the Board to provide governance and financial expertise to help DRA achieve its mission to become the pre-eminent disaster relief organisation in APAC.
Previously she was a Non-Executive Director & Chair – Finance, Audit & Compliance Committee, Vasey Housing Association NSW (2015 to 2023), and was integral to setting the company strategy to modernise and diversify housing stock, managing finances for an $80M construction project which raised circa $40M to ensure Vasey’s sustainability and growth and to develop the strategic agenda for its the next phase.
Between 2021 and 2024 Meg was Chief Financial Officer of the University of New England and a member of the university executive.
